Good News all round for Fred Olsen

I must say I have a soft spot for the Fred Olsen ships so I was quite interested to find out more when I found out that the Braemar will be sailing from Tenerife come January 2013.
The Fred Olsen Braemar which in previous years has been based out of the Caribbean over the winter season will be based from Tenerife in the new year.  There will be a repositioning cruise for 7 nights departing on the 6th January 2013 (My Birthday ) to get to Tenerife.  The Braemar will then be based from Tenerife until March 2013.  She will offer new itineraries including West Africa and Cape Verde and the Canary Islands.  The short flight to Tenerife will save those passengers who struggle to take large amounts of holiday letting them reach their destination and start their cruise without the sea days.  I must admit this may put some repeat Fred Olsen passengers off sailing on the Braemar over this time as flying doesn't suit all.   Fred Olsen will be including charter flights from Gatwick and Manchester to Tenerife.
There is also some good news for the Boudicca as well.  The Boudicca will be returning to sail from Liverpool come spring 2013.  Fred Olsen have said they will be offering 10 cruises from Liverpool to a variety of destinations and different durations.  I think with such a great interest in Liverpool sailings and passengers being upset when Fred Olsen stopped using Liverpool these sailings will book up fast.  I think 2013 will be a good year for Fred Olsen and I can't wait to see what itineraries they will be offering.
